We use the word scream quite a bit. When someone raises their voice, we say, "Stop screaming at me!" even if they aren't actually screaming. When we need to get a person's attention from far away, we "scream at the top of our lungs." A scream is mixed with strong emotions, like fear, anger, and hatred. Of course, above all, screaming is an unmistakable sound:
